About
Kate
Kate's
interest in alternative therapies and all things medical started
with A level Biology and progressed from there. Having worked
in pharmacies and health food shops as a student she developed
a keen awareness of the needs of customers, not only for remedies,
but for the knowledgeable support of caring advisors. She
has an enduring interest in nature, wildlife, botany and environmental
issues, and has worked in fundraising for both Environmental
and Arts charities.
Kate
has worked with Touch for Health for over four years, having
trained with Jonathan Livingstone and Sandy Gannon. She has
also completed many of the Educational Kinesiology courses,
which have been valuable in her work with children. She sees
clients from many walks of life in her practise at Malvern
Natural Health Centre, including riders, dancers, teachers
and many suffering from stress-related illness.
She
has three teenage children and also works as a personal tutor
for students from 6 to 16, with a particular interest in English,
literacy & SEN issues; running a contact network of local
tutors in other subjects. This interest in education stems
from her previous work as a support assistant in school for
ten years, and her passion for literacy, reading and writing.
Kate has degree in English, Education & Sociology.
Kate is committed to sharing Touch for Health with students
and clients alike and is always happy to discuss your needs
for therapy or training by phone or email.
