Operating System Revamp

Well, Doc, is it serious..?

Uh-oh. Poor old Windows is up the chute again. It's got a tummy bug, and is behaving decidedly dodgy. The pills you had lying around didn't work, and it may even have made things worse. It could be time to call the Doc.

In my opinion, Windows is a great operating system. OK, it's always been prone to a bit of instability from time to time, it continues to be given more patches than a die-hard smoker trying yet again to kick the habit, and it does like to engage in a little civil disobedience. But funnily enough, that's what makes it fun...isn't it? Well, maybe not. It's common enough, over the months and years of use, to find that Windows has slowed to a crawl, and is simply not co-operating the way it's supposed to. This can happen even if you're the sole user of your computer; but if there are several different users installing this, uninstalling that, riding roughshod over security concerns, and surfing sites that may not be entirely friendly, then things can become unmanagable. Quick fixes become just that - fixes that don't last very long, or end up breaking something else.

It may be time for a 're-vamp'. A clean slate. TechScope can come and take a look at what you've got, discuss with you which personal data of your own you want to keep, and back it up safely. Then we can start from scratch with a whole new Windows installation, whichever version you have available, or whichever version you'd like to buy and try instead. We can even sort out dual and triple-boot systems for you, which can work really well for different usage purposes, and are especially effective on today's very high capacity hard disks.

If you only want a quick fix, we can do that, too. But it will often be the case that the best value solution is a complete Operating System Revamp. We can assist in installing any programs you want put back into a fresh Windows, and we will restore any backed up data as it was before. All security considerations are taken into account; virus checking, and settings optimisation, for example, will be given a thorough examination. Not only will the patient be up and running soon enough, it will be in a better state to keep it healthy for a lot longer.
